Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Launched in 2001, the .NAME generic extension is the single TLD planned for personal websites only. These domain names can be personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other labels people are popular by. At the beginning, solely third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to register john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already acquired 3rd-level names remained active.

Through our firm, you can order your dot NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to switch the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been finished. There are no special terms on who can secure a dot NAME domain, but in order to keep the goal behind its creation alive, the Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
